Strayton's writing/producing credits include the #1 syndicated action series Xena: Warrior Princess, Disney's family sci-fi series MECH-X4, Paramount's animated actioner Dungeons & Dragons: Dragonlance, Netflix's supernatural drama October Faction (where he served as co-executive producer / #2), and the Sundance Award-winning documentary Alive Inside. He has also performed uncredited rewrite work on major studio features including Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen and Star Trek 3.
In 2021, Strayton was selected for the WGA's prestigious Showrunner Training Program, receiving mentorship from industry luminaries including Tina Fey (Kimmy Schmidt), David Simon (The Wire), and Jesse Armstrong (Succession), among others. Strayton has garnered 25 screenplay competition placements, including Finalist at the Santa Barbara International Screenplay Awards, the Filmmatic Sci-Fi/Fantasy Awards, and the Palm Springs Screenplay Contest, Winner at the Filmmatic TV Pilot Awards, the Alpine International Film Festival, the Action/Fantasy/Sci-Fi/Thriller Festival, Winner - Honorable Mention at the 2026 Los Angeles Film Awards, and Best Screenplay Nominee at the 2026 Paris International Indie Film & Screenplay Festival.
He is currently in prep on a short film, The Star Cycle, shooting in Scotland with producer Mark Lacey (Tornado), DP/VFX Supervisor Dante Harbridge Robinson (Black Panther: Wakanda Forever), and Scotland's premier production company and post house, Blazing Griffin (James McAvoy's California Schemin').
